Ha impartido múltiples conferencias de temas docentes y de especialidad a nivel nacional e internacional.
Actualmente se desempeña como Decano de la Facultad de Ciencias Médicas en Universidad Panamericana en Guatemala, incursionando en la aplicación de la Simulación Clínica en la formación del pregrado y postgrado, implementando la simulación como uno de los pilares fundamentos para el aprendizaje en salud; innovando la forma en la cual se aprende-haciendo en ambientes controlados, seguros y buscando los mejores resultados de aprendizaje.
Her teaching activity has taken place over the last 20 years. First at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Coimbra and since 2017 as a lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences of the University of Algarve.
She is a doctor specialises in Public Health and is studying for a PhD in International Health, with a focus on the health of vulnerable groups. Claudia Regina Dias Siqueira, M.D., has been a professor of Emergency Medicine at CESUPA (Pará University Center) for the past 12 years. During this time, she implemented simulation-based medical training as part of the curriculum while she was the head of her department. She has over 35 years of experience as an Intensive Care medical doctor in various medical facilities in Belem, Brazil, and she is also an American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS ‘ instructor. Claudia’s area of interest as a professor is Simulation-based medical training, which was the main focus of her thesis during her master’s degree program of medical education.

Sara Morris is a lecturer in adult nursing at the Swansea University, Wales, UK. Her current roles include Programme lead for the PG Certificate in blood components transfusion. Sara has expertise in teaching across undergraduate and post graduate taught programmes. Sara is a NMC registered adult nurse, child nurse and teacher. As an acute care nurse, she has worked in a variety of settings including emergency care, trauma and as a practitioner. Sara joined Swansea University after a varied career in both the NHS and Higher Education in England such as University of Sheffield and Keele University. Sara’s educational practice is rooted in pedagogy with particular interests in active approaches to learning. Sara has expertise in designing curricula, enquiry-based learning, and flipped learning.
Dr Lulu Sherif Mahmood is a Professor in Anaesthesiology and is presently heading the Simulation and Skill Centre at Father Muller Medical College, India.
She has completed her medical education fellowship at the Manipal FAIMER International Institute for Leadership in Interprofessional Education and Research. She completed her Master’s in Healthcare Simulation and Patient Safety from University of Galway, Ireland. She is the first applicant from India to get certified as an Advanced Healthcare Simulation Educator from the Society for Simulation in Healthcare and has served as a member of the certification subcommittee of the Society for three years. She is also an executive board member of the Society for Healthcare Simulation, India and the Vice Chair of the Operation Board of the International Journal of Healthcare Simulation-Advances in Theory and Practice. She is presently a Doctoral Committee Member for PhD Studies in three Universities in India. She volunteers as a Simulation Educator consultant to various National Healthcare Universities. Her special interest is in advancing the field of simulation enhanced interprofessional education.

Prof. Henrique Alexandrino is Professor of Surgery in Faculty of Medicine of the University of Coimbra and a Consultant Surgeon (General, Emergency and Hepatobiliary) in Coimbra University Hospital Center. Lorraine Betts is currently a Nursing Professor and Academic Simulation Coordinator at George Brown College located in Toronto, Canada. She is passionate about simulation education and has extensive experience in using simulation for both learning and teaching. Prior to joining George Brown College in 2002, Lorraine practice as an Emergency nurse and prior to that she was a CPR and First Aid Instructor.

Dr. Sandra Goldsworthy is a nurse education leader who is recognized as a simulation and critical care expert, researcher and author. She is the recipient of the Canadian Nurses’ Association Order of Merit in Education and was one of 10 University of Calgary inaugural Teaching Scholars. Sandra is author or editor of nine books including: ‘Simulation Simplified: A Practical Guide for Nurse Educators’, ‘Simulation Simplified: Student Lab Manual for Critical Care Nursing’ and ‘The Compact Clinical Guide for Mechanical Ventilation’. Dr. Goldsworthy’s is currently an Associate Professor in the School of Nursing at Nipissing University. Sandra’s previous positions have included: Associate Dean Teaching, Learning and Technology, Director of Blended and Online Learning and Associate Professor (with tenure) in the Faculty of Nursing at the University of Calgary. In addition, she held a Research Professorship in Simulation from 2015-2019. The Research Professorship resulted in the development of a research team, research collaborations (locally, nationally and internationally) and design and implementation of more than 15 active research projects of which she is principal investigator. Sandra holds three national certifications: Canadian Nurses Association credentials in Critical Care and Medical Surgical Nursing as well as CASN Canadian Certified Nurse Simulation Educator credential (CCNSE). She is a member of a number of national and international committees including her roles as a Vice President of the World Federation of Critical Care Nurses Association and Co-chair of the CASN Virtual Simulation Advisory Board. Dr. Antonio Marttos’ current academic rank is Associate Professor of Surgery, Director of Global e-Health/Trauma Telemedicine, Co-Director of the William Lehman Injury Research Center, Ryder Trauma Center- Jackson Memorial Hospital -University of Miami.
Dr. Marttos completed his Medical (1993) and Surgical Residency training in Brazil in 1997. He was professor of Emergency Medicine and Trauma Surgeon at ABC Foundation Medical School in Brazil and Chief of Surgery at Santa Marina Hospital in Brazil. In 2004 he joined Jackson Memorial Hospital for Surgical Critical Care and Trauma Fellowship. At the end of his appointment, in 2006 he joined the University of Miami faculty in the division of Trauma and Critical Care.
Dr. Marttos, a pioneer in Trauma Telemedicine has been involved in numerous studies and clinical activities for the Defense Department, the U.S. Department of State, and the Florida Department of Health. He created a statewide Trauma Telemedicine Network and received the health department’s Outstanding Leadership Award and also the First Annual State Surgeon General Health Innovation, Prevention, and Management Award for these efforts. He is also deeply involved in developing telemedicine solutions to provide expert support in multiple trauma environments, including the Resuscitation and Intensive Care units, the operating room, pre-hospital and mass casualty.
He led the Telemedicine Education and Advice for Military Medicine (TEAMM) project, which linked the Ryder Trauma Center with the U.S. Air Force, and has explored the use of telemedicine in mass casualty exercises with the U.S. Army Forward Surgical Teams, as well as in exercises conducted at multiple hospitals across Florida.
Most recently, Dr. Marttos has created an unparalleled Global Telemedicine program funded by the Department of State to provide trauma telemedicine support services in Iraq. The program has received national attention and is now considered the gold standard for such programs.
Dr. Marttos was a finalist for the 2011 Community Health Promotion Award, International Health Promotion Awards and is involved in the creation of multiple networks like the one in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for the Soccer World Cup and the Olympic Games.
In 2011, Dr. Marttos was named the Brazilian Olympic Committee Team Physician for the 2012 London Olympic Games as well as the 2015 Toronto PanAmerican Games. In 2015, Dr. Marttos was in charge of Emergency Medical Services and MCI Response for the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games being also the physician in responsible for the medical care for all VIP and foreign countries chief of states at the opening and closing ceremonies for Rio 2016 Omylpics Olympics and Paralympic Games.

Gül Şahin Karaduman received her undergraduate degree from Gülhane Military Medical Academy, School of Nursing. She worked as a operating room nurse and clinical nurse for 11 years. Now, she is working as an assistant professor in the University of Health Sciences Turkey, Gülhane Faculty of Nursing. She has been interested in simulation in nursing education and has several publications on this.
